Bush & Beach - A Summer Family Holiday
With a malari-free safari to see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) in Madikwe Game Reserve amd the chance to explore the bush on foot or horseback at Ant's Hill, this is the ideal introduction to Africa for families with any age children.
After a busy time in the bush, the fine white sands and crystal clear seas around Mauritius provide the perfect place to relax (or enjoy the watersports) with a stay at Le Paradis.
With departures still available in July and August (see below for details) there's still a great chance to escape somewhere different this summer and to introduce your children to the thrill of Africa......
Day 1
You will fly overnight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.
Days 2 and 3
On arrival in Johannesburg you will make your way to the rental car desk where you will sign paperwork and collect the keys for your hire car.
From Johannesburg you will drive yourselves to Jaci's Safari Lodge, a drive of up to four hours. Your stay here is for two nights in two deluxe rooms on a full board basis to include all meals, tea and coffee, game drives and bush walks.
Days 4 and 5
You will drive yourselves from Jaci's Tree Lodge this morning to Ant's Hill; this is probably a four hour drive. The next two nights will be spent here in the family cottage on a full board basis to include all meals, local drinks, activities (horse riding, game drives, game walks and mountain biking) and laundry.
Day 6
Today you will drive back to Johannesburg where you will stay overnight at Metcourt (Emperors Palace) on a bed and breakfast basis.
Days 7 to 12
Today you will fly from Johannesburg to Mauritius. On arrival you will be met and driven to Le Paradis where you will stay for six nights on a half board basis in a family suite. This is on a stay 6 pay 5 basis.
Day 13
You will be driven to Mauritius International Airport this morning in time to check in for your flight departing for London Heathrow.
Costs
Adults - from £3,983pp
Children - from £1,842pp
Based on two adults and two children under 12 travelling together, Exact costs are dependent on flight costs at the point of application
The trip includes: International flights, regional flights, car hire, accommodation, most meals, some drinks, safari activities
The trip excludes: Visas, travel insurance.
