Charlie Swanson

Two of Charlie’s great passions are riding and travelling - fortunately Aardvark Safaris provides ample opportunity to be an expert in both. A pre university gap year took him to Argentina and Australia where he worked on polo ranches training young horses. Since then he's played polo all over the world, often representing Scotland in international matches.

Armed with a land management degree from Newcastle University Charlie headed to Africa to fulfil a lifelong ambition to ride in the Okavango Delta. In fact he spent three months here helping out at African Horseback Safaris. On his way back to the UK he spent time travelling around Kenya, South Africa and Namibia, exploring most of the riding safaris offered in these three countires as well as general safari camps and lodges.

Now back in the office in Scotland he is, with his great horse knowledge and recent in-depth exploration of African riding safaris, particularly well placed to advise on riding all over Southern and East Africa.
