Scots And Penguins on The Beach
During our stay at Constantia Uitsig, close to Cape Town, we headed off on an adventure for the day, armed with a fabulous picnic hamper supplied by the hotel.
We drove down to Cape Point, took a walk up to the famous lighthouse to take in the spectacular views of the wild coastlines, where two oceans meet, and white sandy beaches below. We spied a very remote and spectacular looking beach which looked like a perfect place to eat our picnic lunch. It proved to be amazing; we had the whole beach to ourselves and after lunch we quickly proceeded to act like complete children, racing about in the sand dunes and having a wonderful time!
From here we headed back onto the 'tourist route' and went for the almost obligatory trip to Boulders Bay. We stayed on the sand, unlike my colleague Charlotte's boys who actually got into the sea and swam with penguins around them.
