Uganda Chimps
There’s been a lot of cooing in our Scottish office over new babies, but a baby chimp in the Chambura Gorge in Uganda is providing even greater excitement for Nicole Simmons, a researcher working with our local partner Volcanoes Safaris.
Hard work is going into the creation of a buffer zone in the area, between the farmed areas and the wilderness of the gorge, and the hope is that these conservation efforts will boost troop numbers above the current figure of just 21
