Safari Houses in Zambia
Private houses in Zambia – perfect for family holidays.
With family safaris the fastest growing part of our business, we already use private houses in South Africa and Kenya for families or small groups travelling together. Now we can add a unique group of Zambian private houses to this list.
‘The Safari Houses of Zambia’ is being launched by Robin Pope Safaris. Each property has four bedrooms, a dining area, sitting room and outside deck.
Two of the properties are newly-built. Luangwa Safari House is close to Robin Pope’s Nkwali Camp and overlooks the Chendeni Hills, with game always wandering past. Chongwe River House is in the Lower Zambezi National Park, with direct views of the Zambezi Escarpment and river, where all kinds of game – and especially elephant – come to drink. Nyika House is a 60-year-old colonial rest house perched on the edge of the Nyika Plateau on the border with Malawi, with views over the Eastern Zambezi.
The circuit can be extended with Tangala, just upstream from the Victoria Falls, and Shiwa House, Stewart Gore-Brown’s extravagant folly in northern Zambia, a spectacular country mansion with its own stables and boathouse.
Each house comes with its own private host, guides and game vehicles and can be booked by only one group at a time.
