Savuti Camp

Set under a canopy of ancient shady trees, Savuti Camp overlooks the eponymous Channel in the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana. While the Savuti Channel regularly flows and then dries up, a prolific amount of wildlife is drawn to the waterholes and grazing on the floodplain.

Accommodation & Facilities
The six canvas and thatch rooms, included a family room with two bedrooms, at Savuti Camp are built on raised decks connected by wooden walkways, all in the shade of large trees. Each tent is luxuriously appointed with an en-suite bathroom, and a spacious viewing deck perched on the edge of the channel at the front. There is a spacious dining area, bar and lounge under a thatched roof, and a plunge pool, all of which look out over the water. The camp has several hides where guests can experience wildlife viewing up close, and a Photo Hub studio.

Wildlife & Activities
Guests can take day or night wildlife drives and seasonal boat trips along the Linyanti River and Savute Channel, as well as short guided walks which must be pre-booked. Fishing is permitted between 1st March and 31st December, and guests can enjoy the sleep out deck near the Linyanti River, set well off the ground on a raised platform offering an exciting and rewarding way to be more connected with the wilderness. Accompanied by a guide, guests are driven to the deck where they have very comfortable beds, as well as a simple bathroom. The area around Savuti Camp is well known for elephant and is full of other wildlife, and the bird watching is also excellent.
