Selinda Camp

Selinda Camp is situated in the 130,000 hectare Selinda Private Reserve north east of the Okavango Delta adjacent to the Linyanti River and the Namibia border. The Selinda Reserve and the camp are named after the eponymous Spillway which connects the Okavango and Linyanti Rivers, flowing only when conditions allow.

Accommodation & Facilities
Selinda has three magnificent walk in safari tents with thatched roofs, and a similarly styled private suite with two bedrooms. The tents have huge bedrooms with cooling systems over the beds, a writing desk and chairs, a lounge with a bar fridge, and an en-suite bathroom with inside and outside showers, a flush loo and a bath tub. Outside on the deck is a private pool, and a shaded day bed. The tents are individually decorated with unique themes, and furnished with rich fabrics and campaign style furniture. There is a luxurious lounge and dining room, both with impressive views over the flood plains, and a wine cellar. There is also a plunge pool and a gift shop, and a small spa and gym.

Wildlife & Activities
Thanks to the excellent habitat and year round water supply, wildlife viewing and bird watching in the Selinda Reserve is excellent throughout the season, with bird life being particularly impressive from December to March, when many migrant species arrive. Wildlife can be viewed from open vehicles, on foot or by boat when water levels allow, and guiding is of a particularly high standard. Walking safaris are an excellent way to see the area and its varied wildlife. Each tent has a professional quality DSLR camera and lenses and a pair of Leica or Swarovski binoculars for guests to enjoy during their stay.
