Jack's Camp
Accommodation & Facilities
The ten spacious and stylish tents at Jack's Camp have comfortable canopy beds, indoor and outdoor showers and flush loos. Breakfast and dinner are served in the superb 1940s style mess tent, and tea is taken in a separate tea tent furnished with hundreds of cushions. The camp has a plunge pool, and a larger swimming pool set under a canopy similar to the mess tent with great views of the surrounding plains.
Wildlife & Activities
The Makgadikgadi Pans are a relic of one of the world's largest super-lakes that dried up thousands of years ago, where, during the dry season, clients can use 4x4 quad bikes to travel where conventional vehicles cannot. At this time of year guests can also visit the historical Seven Sisters Baobab Tree, made famous by the explorers Livingstone, Selous and Baines. During the wet season guests at Jack's Camp can take game drives to see the annual zebra and wildebeest migration and night drives are also available. Game walks with a Bushman guide provide an opportunity to observe desert wildlife and migratory waterfowl breeding and feeding sites. It is also possible to visit families of habituated meerkats nearby.
