Selinda Canoe Trail

Accommodation & Facilities
Each day you will move to a new camping location by canoe covering a
total distance of about 45 kilometres. By night, you will sleep in
simple, with dome tents, but still comfortable with tables and chairs
for alfesco meals under the stars. There are two shared bucket showers
per group, plus one long-drop loo, which is screened off at the back of
the camp. The head guide and four support staff will set up and move the
camp, transport all the baggage, and have it all ready for your arrival
later on. They will also have meals ready for you as well hot water for
showers.
Wildlife & Activities
Whilst you don’t need to be an experienced canoeist to join the Selinda
canoe trail trip you do need to be relatively fit and have an
adventurous spirit! There is often the chance to enjoy walking safaris
which adds another, totally different, dimension to the trip. The exact
plan and timings for each day will be made by the guide based on the
climate, the group’s wishes and capabilities and what wildlife is
spotted along the way.
