Hippo Point
Hippo Point is set on the idyllic shores of Kenya’s Lake Naivasha in a private wildlife sanctuary within the Rift Valley.
Accommodation & Facilities
Hippo Point is comprised of two distinct properties the 1930’s Manor House and Dodo's Eccentric Tower, both set within the stunning lakeside woodland. The mock Elizabethan house was built in 1933 and is a relic of Kenya’s colonial past. The immaculate gardens that surround the house are reminiscent of an English country garden and a wonderful place to relax. The house accommodates up to 16 guests in eight double ensuite bedrooms each individually designed. There is also a swimming pool, dining room, sitting room and spa. Dodo’s Tower is an extraordinary building, eight stories high and built almost entirely of wood it is an impressive sight. The tower offers unrivalled panoramic views of the lake and surrounding woodland. There are four ensuite bedrooms, a spacious sitting room with a balcony, a writing room and meditation room.
Wildlife & Activities
Activities at Hippo Point include guided walks, estate game drives, mountain biking, bird watching and boat trips. There are also other activities available in the area that include visits to the nearby Lake Nakuru to see the flamingos, visit the local game parks and Hell’s Gate National Park, with its stunning canyons, hot springs and wildlife.
