Kicheche Laikipia
This small camp is located in the heart of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, at the foot of Mount Kenya and right on the equator. The camp is nestled into the edge of an indigenous forest and overlooks a permanent waterhole.
Accommodation & Facilities
Kicheche Laikipia has six large and well appointed tents with en-suite bathrooms and generous verandahs providing great views over the waterhole and Mount Kenya. Each tent also has a hammock. There is a dining and lounge tent, although meals are frequently taken outside.
Wildlife & Activities
The conservancy is home to Kenya's largest population of black rhino, large numbers of elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard and plentiful plains game. There are also a number of rarer Northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest and Beisa oryx. Walks and night drives are possible in addition to daytime game drives. Horse riding in the conservancy, for experienced riders only, can be arranged at an additional cost.
