Loisaba
Loisaba is located on the edge of Kenya's Northern Territories in a 61,000 acre private game sanctuary, with many different types of habitat. The lodge overlooks a waterhole and on a clear day you are able to view Mount Kenya. Loisaba also offers guests a unique opportunity to sleep out on thatched platforms under the stars at their 'Star Beds', hosted by local Masai.
The lodge hosts are very much part of your experience at Loisaba and take a personal interest in ensuring you are well looked after. All seven cottages have decks built into the escarpment, which overlooks a waterhole. All have en-suite facilities and are beautifully furnished. The lodge has a tennis court, pool, croquet lawn and spa with massage facilities.
While the Laikipia area is not traditionally associated with big game, it is home to wild dog, leopard, buffalo, hippo and elephant. There are also many activities on offer from Loisaba, including quad biking, kayaking, mounting biking, horse riding and camel riding (and river rafting). Alternatively you can relax at the spa, and enjoy the view across the plains towards Mount Kenya.
