20 Degrees Sud
20 Degrees Sud is Mauritius’s only small boutique hotel and is situated in the far north of the island close to the vibrant Grande Baie. This stylish hotel is privately owned and is about 90 minutes from the airport.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation is in 34 contemporary and elegant rooms and suites. All of the rooms are beautifully designed and decorated and each has a large en-suite bathroom and have been carefully designed and decorated. Some of the rooms overlook the sweeping Grande Baie whereas others look out on the garden and contemporary pool areas. Converted from an old town house, the hotel is spread out and has lots of living areas filled by sofas and elegant finishing touches. The whole property is decorated with black and white photographs of years gone by. There are two pools, a small spa, a bar and a restaurant that serves a la carte gastronomic delights.
Wildlife & Activities
20 Degrees Sud has an excellent team of staff who ensure that guests are well looked after. There are a number of land and water sport activities available such as Hobie cat sailing, snorkelling, bicycles and wind surfs, all of which are on offer on a complimentary basis. The hotel also arranges daily boat trips to near by islands so guests can have the big beach experience. Grande Baie, which is a five minute walk or fifteen boat ride away, is home to every water sport imaginable and from where water skiing, deep sea fishing and scuba diving can be arranged.
