Paradis Hotel and Golf Club
Le Paradis is an impressive resort that stretches along a wide swathe of sandy beach on a secluded peninsula in the southwest of Mauritius. The drive from the airport takes about 90 minutes. With the Le Morne Mountain as a backdrop the hotel occupies one of the most spectacular sites on the island, and has a real feeling of exclusivity.
Accommodation & Facilities
Although it has nearly 300 rooms, it always feels very private even during the peak season. There is a wide variety of rooms and suites here, the majority of which face the water, offering an uninterrupted view of the sea as it breaks spectacularly over the distant reef. The pool is on one level, which makes the supervision of children particularly easy. Le Paradis has four restaurants, but also shares facilities with its sister hotel the Dina Robin further along the beach – this gives the choice of a further three restaurants together with another excellent spa.
Wildlife & Activities
Emphasis here is very much on family and sporting holidays. Both adults and children can have tuition in a variety of sports from golf to water skiing. There is an excellent children’s club, fully equipped gym, spa and a water sports centre where the activities on offer on a complimentary basis include water skiing, sailing, glass bottom boat trips and snorkelling . There is also an on site scuba diving centre as well as a spectacular 18 hole golf course. For the fishing enthusiast, deep sea fishing can be arranged locally.
