Cornerstone Guesthouse
Cornerstone Guesthouse is a small, friendly, privately owned bed and breakfast located in the heart of “old Swakopmund” and is within easy walking distance from restaurants, cafes, shops and the sea.
Accommodation & Facilities
The guesthouse has five comfortable, light and airy bedrooms, each with an en-suite and all modern amenities. Each of the colonial styled rooms has a private patio overlooking the tranquil surrounding gardens. The dining room is spacious with individual tables where breakfast is served. Secure parking is also available on the premises.
Wildlife & Activities
With sea mist rolling in on many mornings and then east winds in the afternoon, Swakopmund isn't a classic seaside resort. However there is plenty in the area to keep visitors occupied for a couple of nights and there are a number of activities available either in Swakopmund or nearby Walvis Bay. Quad bike excursions head inland into the dunes, whilst lie-down or stand-up sand boarding makes use of the dunes' relationship with gravity. Boat, catamaran and kayak trips to see the seal colonies on Pelican Point are available from Walvis Bay - dolphins can also sometimes be seen here. The lagoon is a great place for sea birds with large numbers of pelicans, among others, present in the summer.
