Wolwedans Dunes Lodge
Wolwedans is nestled amidst the dunes in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Namibia about an hour and a half’s drive from the entrance to the Sossusvlei dunes.
Accommodation & Facilities
The Dunes Lodge design is sensitive to its delicate environment with canvas walls and lots of wood, yet is still extremely comfortable. The entire main lodge and the nine individual chalets are built on stilts. Each of the private chalets is spacious with an en-suite bathroom and large veranda providing stunning views of the desert. The main complex comprises two separate buildings, home to a large bar area, dining room, library, sundowner decks and wine cellar.
Wildlife & Activities
Guests are encouraged to go on full day desert drives accompanied by a guide into the reserve. You can also go on guided walks in the area, and enjoy picnics in the wild and sundowners on the dunes. Scenic flights and ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
