Nyungwe Forest Lodge
Nyungwe Forest Lodge is the only 5 star property located within the Nyungwe National Park. It has been built to blend in with its surroundings and sits in a tea plantation on the edge of the Nyungwe rain forest. The National Park is renowned for its rugged terrain and diverse ecosystem. Containing more than 200 different species of trees, 275 different species of bird and 13 species of primate, Nyungwe National Park is a wildlife lover’s paradise.
Accommodation & Facilities
The Lodge is made up of 24 luxurious suites, each with its own private decking looking over the rainforest. Each suite has air conditioning, a large flat screen TV, a fireplace and private bathroom facilities. The communal areas comprise modern amenities such as an outdoor heated swimming pool, restaurant, Jacuzzi and fitness centre.
Wildlife & Activities
While at Nyungwe Forest Lodge, guests may take part in a wide range of activities. Tracking chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, and cultural walks are available for the more active guests, whereas those looking for relaxation can enjoy the on-site treatment facilities and other leisurely pursuits.
