Fregate Island
A 20 minute flight from Mahé and surrounded by its own coral reef, Frégate is one of the most isolated islands in the Seychelles archipelago. Dominated by the 125 metre high Mount Signal, the 2 square kilometre granite island boasts secluded pristine white sand beaches and its own special variety of wildlife.
Fourteen of Fregate's 16 luxurious villas are spread along the cliff top offering spectacular ocean views, the remaining two are set amid lush tropical gardens. Each has a large living room, able to accommodate two children if required, and a separate elegantly decorated bedroom with en suite bathroom. French doors open onto an outside shower, beyond which is a personal jacuzzi and king size day bed.
Guests have the use of their own golf buggy to explore the island and it's secluded beaches. There is excellent swimming, snorkelling, diving and fishing on the Island. Among other activities are birdwatching - the rare Magpie Robin is found only on Frégate Island - and guided walks through lush vegetation. For those interested in the island's pirate folklore, there is the harbour and plenty of ruins to investigate.
