Maia
Maia is a tranquil and peaceful retreat located on a twelve acre peninsula in the south west of Mahé Island. Maia is a refuge where guests can escape from the busy world to be pampered and to rediscover their senses. Guests at Maia will experience total privacy and serenity.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation at Maia is in thirty spacious air conditioned en suite villas all located within the well maintained gardens. The villas are beach fronted or positioned high up in the lush hillside but each has spectacular uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. Each villa consists of a large bedroom decorated in a contemporary style, an en suite bathroom, a spacious outdoor gazebo area with thatched roof, a day bed, an outdoor bath and an infinity pool. Each villa has modern conveniences including a flat screen television, a DVD player, wireless internet, surround sound system and mini bar. Furthermore each villa comes with a private butler to look after your every need. The main area of the resort has a large pool, bar and restaurant.
Wildlife & Activities
In addition to relaxing in the peaceful haven of their private villa, guests can enjoy walks along the white sandy beach as well be pampered in the Indonesian inspired spa. For more active guests a variety of non motorised activities are on offer including canoeing, windsurfing and snorkelling. Scuba diving, deep sea fishing and other motorised water sports can be arranged and paid for locally at several locations.
