Horizon Horseback Safaris
Set within the stunning malaria free Waterberg Reserve, Horizon Horseback Safaris offers diverse riding safaris, making it one of the most varied and action-packed horse riding holidays in Africa. It is in an area renowned for its wilderness quality and conservation importance but is only two and a half hours from Johannesburg.
Accommodation & Facilities
Guests stay either in the main ranch or in one of the chalets in the garden. There are over 70 well cared horses to choose from and each day offers different activities including cattle herding, polo crosse, gymkhana, western games, two day safaris, jumping and cross country practice. When not riding guests can relax by the pool or in the long shaded verandah and bar area.
Wildlife & Activities
Horizon also offers two longer riding safaris on the nearby 20,000 acre Dinaka game reserve. These five or eight night safaris provide wonderful game viewing and exhilarating riding. Guests are accommodated in a stunning luxury lodge which overlooks a beautiful lake and the plains beyond.
