Rocktail Beach Camp
Rocktail Beach Camp is set in the Maputaland Coastal Forest in northern Kwa Zulu-Natal, and adjoins the Maputaland Marine Reserve. This newly built family friendly lodge lies within a proclaimed World Heritage Site and is a fifteen minute walk from the vast and pristine beach.
Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation is in twelve canvas sided rooms, each of which has an ensuite bathroom and is equipped with a ceiling fan to aid restful sleep during the hot summer months. Facilities are completed by a large dining room and bar area which is decorated in traditional African designs. There is a large pool and sun deck for those who want to relax around the lodge.
Wildlife & Activities
The highlight here is the miles and miles of pristine and undeveloped coastline. Keen scuba divers will enjoy being next to the long established and very well run Rocktail Dive Centre, and close to the boat launch site on nearby Mazengwenya Beach. In addition to simply sunning yourself on the vast golden beaches guests can also enjoy snorkelling trips, nocturnal turtle beach walks (seasonal) and outings to other points of interest in the area.
