Jongomero
Jongomero Camp in Tanzania is situated in Ruaha National Park, where extremely rare wildlife species, birds, fauna and the limited impact of tourism, sets it in a class of its own. The park is located within and along the Rift Valley.
Jongomero Camp offers guests the experience of extreme isolation and wilderness.
The camp is situated under tall Acacia trees in the remotest area of the south western sector of the park, along the Jongomeru Sand River. The camp presents top quality accommodation, comprising eight well-appointed tents, all with fully fitted en-suite bathrooms, tented dining facilities, and a swimming pool.
From your canvas hideaway, you can set out to observe at close quarters rare species of birds and animals to include lesser kudu, striped hyena, sable and roan antelope. Jongomero specialises in remote, all day game drives, with guests enjoying hamper picnic breakfast and lunches en route. Meal locations are in pre-selected sites, whether it be under acacia or magnificent baobab trees, or remote spots overlooking the mighty Ruaha River.
