Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
Clouds is a stylish lodge located high up on Nteko Ridge with breathtaking views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park as well as the series of the mighty Virunga volcanoes.
Accommodation & Facilities
Clouds offers eight stone cottages each with an en-suite bathroom, fireplace, soft armchairs and warm duvets. For each room there is an outdoor deck offering views of the forest. The main lodge is made up of a dining room where the lovely meals offered are made from local produce and served with good wine, a bar and library for relaxing after a long day gorilla tracking, a lush botanical garden and sheltered verandas with views to the volcanoes.
Wildlife & Activities
The ultimate goal of Clouds is to protect the natural habitat of the mountain gorilla, which also directly benefits the community of Nkuringo who also have a significant stake in the venture. Activities include gorilla trekking, guided forest walks, birdwatching and
visits to the Pygmy community and village walks to meet the local craftsmen and women.
