Kawaza Village
Kawaza Village, home to members of the Kunda tribe, is situated adjacent to the South Luangwa National Park. Guests staying at Kawaza have the opportunity to spend time in genuine Zambian rural village and to get involved with local people and village life.
Accommodation & Facilities
Up to eight guests can be accommodated in simple African huts with the length of stay ranging from a single day to three or four nights. There is the chance to meet the Chief, a local traditional healer, and to spend a morning with the ladies collecting water and cooking. For those staying a night or two, it is often possible to get involved with local construction projects.
Kawaza is the winner of the prestigious Silver Otter Award, given to the Best Overseas Tourism Project by the British Guild of Travel Writers.
