Mwamba Bush Camp
Mwamba Bush Camp is a wonderfully secluded bush camp in the heart of the South Luangwa Valley. Owned and run by Derek Shenton and his wife Juliet the camp has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and its remoteness allows for an undisturbed and exclusive safari. Derek has worked for many years in the Luangwa Valley and his intimate knowledge of the bush and its wildlife makes every safari a unique experience.
Accommodation & Facilities
The three chalets are uniquely designed with two large skylights (protected by mosquito gauze) allowing guests to experience sleeping "under the stars" in safety. This accommodation reflects a thoughtful balance between back-to-nature simplicity and essential comforts. Each of the reed and thatch bungalows has solar lighting, en-suite flush toilets and hot showers.
Wildlife & Activities
Game is plentiful with large herds of buffalo, eland and a resident pride of lions. Leopard sightings are also good. The area is excellent for both walking and vehicle based game activities and the nearby hides offer fantastic photographic opportunities.
