
Zebra Plains


Zebra Plains is a new camp dedicated to walking safaris situated in a remote game rich area in the north east of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. This is an amazing three night wilderness experience that enables guests to combine fine dining, comfortable camping, an adventure on foot and the beautiful habitat and wildlife of the surrounding area.
Accommodation & Facilities
Zebra Plains is a luxurious and intimate camp with just four traditional A frame tents accommodating a maximum ofsix people. The en-suite bathrooms provide you with a sink, flush loo and al fresco shower. In the main mess area of the camp you will have the use of a library, bar and dining area.
Wildlife & Activities
This part of the South Luangwa National Park is perfect for walking, and Zebra Plains Camp provides guests with a true authentic bush adventure and spectacular game viewing. The experience is perfect for getting an intimate feel for Africa and you are able to enjoy the sights and sounds of safari without any engines; it is just you, the guides and the animals. You will go for two walks per day which are expertly guided by Garth Hovell, with each walk planned to be different to the others and giving guests a really varied safari. The concentration of wildlife here is exceptional including zebra, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, lion, leopard, wild dog, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and over 400 species of birds, giving you an awe-inspiring experience of wild Zambia at its best.
