Makalolo Plains is set in a private concession within the vast Hwange National Park.  The camp is built on raised teak decks providing panoramic views across the Somavundla Pan. 

Accommodation & Facilities
Accommodation consists of ten large, comfortable tented rooms with en-suite facilities as well as an outdoor shower.  The main area of Makalolo Plains Camp has a lounge, bar, plunge pool and dining area where delicious meals are served.  The battery powered lighting in the camp results in a calm, quiet atmosphere at night, allowing guests to listen to the sounds of the surrounding bushveld.

Wildlife & Activities
Although activities revolve around game drives, night drives and guided walks, Makololo also has well-situated hides and raised viewing platforms which provide the ideal location to while away the lazy midday hours, watching wildlife come down to the waterholes to drink.  Hwange National Park is one of the best places in Africa to see predators such as lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah.
