Cottar’s Bush Villa

Cottar’s Bush Villa has a glorious setting on a hillside in a 22,000 acre conservancy in Kenya’s Masai Mara, with the stunning backdrop of the Olderekesi Hills. The Homestead has breath-taking views across the border to Tanzania’s Serengeti plains. The house was designed by the Cottar family, who have run the neighbouring Cottar’s 1920’s Safari Camp for generations, and is constructed from locally sourced sustainable materials.

Accommodation and Facilities
The fully-staffed private house can sleep up to 12 guests in five en-suite bedrooms, all with stunning views. The spacious living areas comprise a large living room, a dining room where delicious meals are served, and an impressive viewing deck with commanding views over the plains. There’s a 25 metre pool which also has fantastic views, and the house has its own safari vehicle and guide. It is the perfect retreat for families and groups of friends who wish to experience their own private piece of Africa.

Wildlife and Activities
Guests can enjoy very high standards of guiding in one of the finest wildlife viewing areas in the world. Lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, hyena, kongoni, topi, and wildebeest can be seen, and black rhino are also occasionally sighted. Day and night wildlife drives, fishing, guided walking safaris, cultural visits, and river swimming are among the activities on offer at Cottar’s Bush Villa. Conservation and the local community are critically important to the Cottar family, and guests can also see several excellent projects in action here.
