Lion Camp

Lion Camp is a seasonal, permanent lodge in the remote northeast of South Luangwa National Park.  The camp is beautifully located on the banks of an ox bow lagoon in an area of the park with few other camps.  The lagoon retains a small amount of water throughout the year ensuring a constant water source for wildlife even in the driest months.  The views across the open grasslands from the camp are always dotted with species such as impala, warthog, zebra, waterbuck and puku.

Accommodation & Facilities
Lion Camp has ten luxurious en-suite canvas and thatch rooms, with large bedrooms, private outside decks, and views of the lagoon and plains beyond. The en-suite bathrooms are set to the side of the bedroom, and have views of the lagoon. the beds have Evening Breeze coolers over them. The lodge has a bar, lounge and dining area in the central area of Lion Camp with an infinity pool overlooking the flood plains, wonderfully comfortable sofas, a central boma, a snooker table and a library. Meals are often eaten under the African skies, and dinner beneath the stars is especially memorable.
