Morukuru Owner's House

Morukuru Owner’s House is located on a 3,500 hectare private reserve overlooking the Madikwe Game Reserve. Owner’s House is set under shady tamboti trees beside the Marico River with Madikwe Reserve on the other bank. Madikwe is quite close to the Botswana border in north-west South Africa and the region is malaria free.

Accommodation & Facilities
With two en-suite bedrooms, Morukuru Owner’s House is ideal for a family, a couple, or good friends travelling together. Shaded by large trees and accessed across a bridge from the parking area, the fully air-conditioned Owner’s House has a large central lounge, dining room, library, and wine cellar. The decorations are fabulously stylish and luxurious, with plenty of rich fabrics and colours. Each room has a king size bed, ceiling fans, an en-suite bathroom (one has an indoor and outdoor shower) and an outside bath on the deck overlooking the river. The house has a heated 14 metre pool, a tree-top sala, a gym and a boma for eating meals outside. A safe, tv, dvd players, lots of family games, and great food prepared in the house’s kitchen are all included in the rates.

Wildlife & Activities
Activities at Morukuru Owner’s House include day and night wildlife drives with a private guide and vehicle, walking safaris, fishing, bird-watching, helping in the kitchen, bush meals, and the use of the viewing hide. Children are especially well catered for with numerous spontaneous activities to keep them excited. Massages and visits to local communities can also be arranged. The resident wildlife in Madikwe is excellent, including elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, wild dog, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and many other plains species.
