Morukuru River House

Morukuru River House is a beautiful exclusive use property located on a 3,500 hectare private reserve adjacent to Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa, and close to the Botswana border in malaria-free north-west South Africa.

Accommodation & Facilities
River House, as its name suggests, is positioned under shady tamboti trees on the banks of the Groot Marico River.  With three large en-suite bedrooms and a children’s room with bunk beds this is the perfect retreat for up to six adults and four children. The three bedrooms have air-conditioning, log fires for the winter and large tree-shaded decks.  The en-suite bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers, twin basins and a free-standing bath. The house has excellent facilities, including indoor and outdoor dining areas, a sitting room with fireplace, a large deck and a heated infinity pool.

Wildlife & Activities
All activities at Morukuru River House are tailored to guests and their wishes, with a private guide and house team on hand to help get the most out of a stay.  Activities include day and night wildlife drives, bush walks, fishing, bird-watching, bush meals, sleep-outs, the use of the hide, and fun outdoor activities for children. Wildlife in Madikwe is varied and excellent, and includes elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and many plains species.
