Great African Flying Safari

Put together by Aardvark Safaris favourite, Great Plains Conservation, this stunning private flying adventure combines some of the most exclusive wilderness areas of Botswana and Kenya. Zooming from place to place in a luxurious private plane, and accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll enjoy exploring these premier wildlife locations while staying stay at four of Africa’s very finest lodges.

In Botswana you stay at Duba Plains in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta, and a great place for predator spotting; and Zarafa Camp, with its impressive marquee styled tends and sweeping views across the Zibadianga lagoon, a perfect camp from which to explore the wonders of the 138,000 hectare Selinda Reserve. In Kenya it’s Ol Donyo Lodge, Kenya’s first Relais & Chateaux property which sits in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro and is famous for some of Africa’s largest tuskers; and Mara Plains, a sublimely comfortable lodge and set in an area home to the largest population of lion and leopard in the greater Masai Mara.

Among the activities on offer are day and night game drives, bush walks, boat safaris in Botswana (water levels permitting), riding and mountain biking at Ol Donyo Lodge, and local village visits in Kenya. There’ll be opportunities for bush breakfasts and sundowners, and even the chance to take to the skies on a balloon safari (payable locally).

It’s one of those rare bucket-list experiences that’ll see you experiencing amazing wildlife, incredible service, and extraordinary accommodation – perfect for a very exclusive way to view some of Africa’s wildlife hotspots. There are six departure dates through 2016 and each trip runs with a maximum of six guests.
