Ol Pejeta Bush Camp

Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is a rustic tented camp located in the 90,000 acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy, not far from Nanyuki in northern Kenya. The camp has a lovely setting among fever trees along the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River, overlooking a well-used salt lick on the opposite bank.

Accommodation & Facilities
Ol Pejeta Bush Camp has seven spacious canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms, including one that is set up as a family tent with two bedrooms. With good company around a communal campfire this camp is also eco-friendly, using solar lights and hot water bottles under the covers when needed. Hot water is always readily available, and the ensuite bathrooms have a flush loo and bucket shower. Meals are often eaten outside, and the camp has a spacious mess tent and lounge tent for relaxing and reading books from the well-stocked library.

Wildlife & Activities
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is renowned for its protection of rare and endangered species, including black and white rhino, elephant, big cats, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and a variety of other wildlife. The activities on offer here include day and night wildlife drives, and bush meals. Guests who would like to do a proper walking safari should let us know, so we can make sure that a suitable guide is available. Additional activities on offer for a fee, include visiting the chimpanzee and rhino sanctuaries and local schools, lion tracking, visiting the Anti-Poaching dogs, running with rangers, gym in the wild, mountain bike safaris, and horse riding in the conservancy and the Endangered Species Enclosure.
