Richard’s River Camp

Richard’s River Camp is set on the banks of the Njageteck River in the Masai Mara, surrounded by 70 acres of private land in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, giving guests peace and privacy.

Accommodation & Facilities
Richard’s River Camp has just eight tents within the main camp area, one of which has two bedrooms for a family, and is ideal for couples, families or groups of friends travelling together. There is a further two bedroomed tent with its own lounge and guide/vehicle that can be taken by a family or two couples and used exclusively with meals served here if guests choose this. The mess tent of the camp has a beautifully furnished lounge with views out over the surrounding plains and bush. Many meals are eaten outside under the vast Kenyan skies, and picnics are often arranged.

Wildlife & Activities
The nearby Ngoyanai springs are a permanent water source, which attract numerous animals to the camp’s environs, including a resident pride of lion which often hunt close to the camp. Guests can explore the Mara North private conservancy on both day and night drives and guided walking safaris. Meals are often arranged in the bush, and bird-watching in the area is excellent. The guides can arrange a visit to a local Masai village, and scenic flights and hot air ballooning are also on offer, although please note that they must be booked and paid for in advance.
