Aardvark Book Recommendation - Animal Life
Many of you may have seen Charlotte Uhlenbroek’s work on television or read her musings in magazines and newspapers. She’s been passionate about animals since she was a child and her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge comes across clearly in her latest book Animal Life (whose extended title is: The Definite Visual Guide to Animals and Their Behaviour). It’s a beautifully produced book and my daughter, Megan, aged nine, has been enthralled by it.
The book feels like an encyclopaedia and covers the animal kingdom, animal anatomy, and animal behaviour in some detail in the text. However its stunning photographs make it very accessible for all ages and it’s a book to dip into to pull out intriguing facts, as well as to use as a basis for school project work and the like.
We’ve all been impressed by it in the office and would certainly recommend it to anyone with a relative with the slightest interest in animals.
The facts and figures are as follows and it seems that it is currently excellent value through ‘thebookpeople’:
