Ol Malo eye project update

We held a surgical camp in July, and are just finalising the audit which we will send to you as soon as possible.

Our team from the UK cancelled due to worries over security and other personal issues, so at the last minute Julia held the camp witha Masai eye doctor, Ol Sempele, anda small but very effective local eye team.

Julia says it was an incredible experience, and the patients really appreciated having their own people helping them. Pretty much every eye operation started with the patient blessing the surgical team as 'their children'.We completed 69 trachoma operations – 35 of which were donated by you and are thrilled with the results, as are the patients.

Your generous support has given 17 (and a half!) people back their sight. We - and they - can't thank you enough.
