Linyanti Bush Camp

Linyanti Bush Camp is in a private concession on the banks of the Linyanti River, just outside Chobe National Park. The camp is situated between Chobe’s teak forests and the vast expanse of marshes beyond the Linyanti River, and is in an ideal location for some excellent wildlife viewing in peaceful surroundings.

Accommodation & Facilities
Linyanti Bush Camp is an authentic traditional safari camp with just six large tents, each with an en-suite bathroom with a flush loo, inside shower, and an outside bath. The tents have simple but smart furnishings, offering great comfort and excellent views over the river and the swamps, with a spacious viewing deck at the front of each one. The camp has a small pool, and a central mess tent with a library and comfortable sofas, and a fireplace outside with views across the marshes. Meals are mostly eaten outside, but can be taken in the mess tent if needed.

Wildlife & Activities
The wildlife viewing is superb with excellent guiding on day and night drives and walking safaris, and mokoro trips when water levels allow. Guests can also take advantage of some carefully located hides, and fishing is an option from March to December.  This area is best known for its large elephant herds, especially in the dry season when the Linyanti marshes are an essential source of water in an otherwise dry region. Other wildlife includes buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, sable, hippo, hyena and various nocturnal species.
