Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge enjoys a stunning hilltop position overlooking Lake Kariba, the largest man-made lake on earth. Bumi Hills has a private concession which borders Matusadona National Park, and the lodge has incredible views of this huge lake from the rooms and public spaces.

Accommodation & Facilities

The lodge has ten Lakeview rooms and a family Baobab villa, which are set just below the top of the hill. The rooms are all air-conditioned, have beautifully fitted out bathrooms, outside showers, and a smart contemporary African style. Each room has a shaded balcony offering views of the lake and wildlife on the shoreline below. The main lodge is built on several levels, and consists of an open shaded dining area, a bar, lounge and fire pit on a lower deck, a pool with beautiful infinity views, a large main building with sitting room, library, a TV and games room with a full size snooker table, and an inside dining room. In addition, the lodge has a shop, a spa and a gym.

Wildlife & Activities

The varied activities are conducted in beautiful, unspoilt surroundings, and include wildlife drives, boat safaris, fishing, sunset cruises and lakeside walking safaris. The area is home to lion, leopard, big herds of elephant and buffalo as well as a multitude of different plains species. Meals on nearby islands, lake-side sundowners, stargazing, and cultural visits are also offered.
