Sanctuary Chief’s Camp

Chief’s Camp has a lovely setting under a canopy of ancient trees overlooking a seasonal floodplain on Chief’s Island, which is in the Mombo Concession of Botswana’s Moremi Game Reserve.

Accommodation & Facilities
Chief’s Camp is a luxurious place with ten huge air-conditioned ‘bush pavilions’ that have four-poster beds, ceiling fans, armchairs, and en-suite bathrooms with inside and outside showers, a big bath with a view, flush loos, and hot and cold running water. The rooms have wifi, ample seating, a coffee machine and a minibar, and spacious outside viewing decks with plunge pools, and excellent views across the seasonally flooded plains. The camp has a large central mess building with a dining room, a bar, plentiful lounge space, and a pool with lovely views. There is an orientation room with maps and a tv, and a children’s room with games.

Wildlife & Activities
Chief’s Camp sits amidst one the predator hot spots of the world, where lion, cheetah, hyena and leopard abound.  Guests can view wildlife from open four wheel drive vehicles, and traditional mokoro canoes in the narrow Delta channels when water levels permit.  Those in search of relaxation and revitalising can visit the camp’s stylish spa, and anyone with a surplus of energy can make use of a well equipped gym.
