Damaraland Camp

Damaraland Camp is located in a peaceful valley on the north side of the Huab River Valley, some 90 kilometres inland from Torra Bay on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast. Damaraland Camp is situated in a true wilderness, where soaring mountains and rolling plains give way to shifting dunes.

Accommodation & Facilities
The accommodation here comprises ten large huge walk-in tents with en suite facilities and a large veranda, and impressive views down the valley to the mountain ranges beyond. The main lodge has adobe walls under a huge thatched roof, and combines the dining room, lounge and bar, all of which is open to the wonderful views. An camp fire outside is a lovely place to sit and chat during calm evenings, and dinner is frequently enjoyed outside. There is also a small pool to the front of the lodge.

Wildlife & Activities
Nature drives and walks into the Huab River system provide the opportunity to see some of the species that have come to terms with life in a desert environment, including the rare desert elephant, black rhino, oryx, kudu, and springbok. Visits to the local communities living in the Torra Conservancy and self-guided walks can also be undertaken from the camp.
