Duba Explorers Camp

Duba Explorers Camp is a remote camp situated in the extreme north of the Okavango Delta in a private 30,000 hectare reserve. The camp is located on an island, surrounded by expansive seasonally flooded plains and shaded by tall ebony and fig trees.

Accommodation & Facilities
Duba Explorers Camp is entirely set on raised wooden decks, giving fantastic views across the floodplains. This small and intimate camp has just five en-suite, walk-in safari tents, each designed to have an open-air feel and allow the breeze to flow through, and a verandah that overlooks the flood plain. The large open sided tent that houses the dining room and bar is also raised, as is the fire place. The camp has a plunge pool created with raised decking around the pool in the back of an American army truck.

Wildlife & Activities
This pristine area is home to lion, leopard, lechwe, elephant, giraffe, huge herds of buffalo, and a large variety of Okavango Delta bird life. Wildlife can be seen on day and night drives in vehicles specially adapted to go through the floods, as well as by mokoro (traditional dug out canoe) and boat when water levels allow. Keen photographers are well catered for since the vehicles are designed with their needs in mind. Guided walking safaris and fishing from a boat are also available when water levels allow, offering additional ways to enjoy this magnificent wilderness.
