Jabali Private House

Located in the heart of the Ruaha, amongst dramatic kopjes, Jabali Private House is built around three ancient baobab trees and blends seamlessly into the environment. At 20,000 sq km Ruaha National Park is the largest in East Africa and is characterised by diverse landscapes ranging from rolling hills to groves of spiky palms and baobab trees, and is home to more than 80 animal species. Children of all ages are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities

Jabali Private House is always taken exclusively and is perfect for a family or small group of friends. The house has two master bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers. The third bedroom has twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. The house sleeps a maximum of seven people including an additional child’s bed. There are both indoor and outdoor dining and relaxing areas and an infinity pool. In addition, all the facilities at nearby sister property Jabali Ridge are available to guests at the house.

Eating & Sleeping
Children can have separate meal times at times to suit. The chef is happy to discuss the children’s preference on your arrival and provide accordingly. Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
There is no formal childcare provision so parents must be responsible for their children at all times.

Wildlife & Activities
The private house is located close to the core wildlife viewing area of the Mwagusi River valley and guests can take day and night wildlife drives as well as walking safaris to explore the wilderness and its wildlife. All activities are private and tailored to guests’ wishes. The area is well known for high densities of lion – super prides of 20 or more are commonplace, African wild dog, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo.

Specifically for Children …
In areas of such dense wildlife, safety is always the top priority and the wilderness environment here is not conducive to providing a specific outdoor activity programme for children. That said, all guides are adept at keeping children engaged, ensuring they find the bush exciting and fun. The excellent location of the house means that it is already in prime wildlife territory. Hot air ballooning is an option for seven years and above and walking safaris from 16 years
