Kapamba

Kapamba Bushcamp is located in a remote corner of the South Luangwa National Park. One of the Bushcamp Company’s properties, it is the only one open from May to January. It is situated on the banks of the shallow, spring-fed eponymous river and it is surrounded by abundant wildlife.

Accommodation & Facilities
Kapamba has four spacious en-suite chalets which are simple and original in design. The rooms are open-fronted and boast large verandahs with river views. This is the most romantic bush camp and is ideal for honeymooners, as each chalet has twin showers. Clever wrought-iron gates are drawn each evening so that guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the African night without worrying about unwanted visitors in the room. There are two raised salas which can also be used for sleep-outs. Kapamba has a lovely pool on its main deck, with views across the river, and plenty of space in the lounge for relaxing.

Wildlife & Activities
Kapamba offers guided bush walks or day and night wildlife drives in order to explore the rich diversity of the surrounding area. An afternoon walk through the cool waters of the Kapamba River, where a special sundowner awaits, is also on offer.
