Khwai Leadwood

Khwai Leadwood is located on the western side of the Khwai community concession in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. The camp has a lovely shady position in a patch of lush riverine forest overlooking the Khwai River and the Moremi Game Reserve.

Accommodation & Facilities
Khwai Leadwood has just seven tents built on wooden decks, one of which is a family room, with en-suite bathrooms featuring outside showers, and a large shaded seating area to the front. The camp has a large central lodge on a big deck, with a dining room, bar and lounge, with a large outside deck which incorporates a fire place and a pool. Meals are often eaten outside, and drinks can be enjoyed around the camp fire.

Wildlife & Activities
Khwai Leadwood has a great location for wildlife viewing, and elephant, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, sable, hippo, hyena and various other nocturnal species can be seen during day and night drives and walking safaris. Mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips are also offered when water levels allow, and are a lovely way to explore the myriad waterways in near silence.
