Kinondo Kwetu

Kinondo Kwetu is a family run beach lodge situated on a wide expanse of beautiful, peaceful beach to the south of Mombasa. The lodge is set in spacious grounds with many large, mature trees, and colourful gardens. The grounds are bordered to the south by a large piece of sacred forest, and to the north by open, undeveloped land, giving the lodge a remarkable feeling of space and peace.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are six spacious and beautifully decorated en-suite rooms in one large house, each with a large verandah, and a private access. There are a further five cottages with en-suite rooms, and a family villa. The rooms all feature wonderful African artefacts and antiques, and are designed to be airy, light, and spacious. The lodge offers superb food which is served in a variety of places throughout the grounds to suit each guest, and at times to suit. There is main building with a bar, a library and a lounge. The lodge is very family friendly, and small children are well catered for.

Activities
Kinondo Kwetu has two pools, one of which is deep enough for dive training, and the other suited to small children. The activities available include tennis, horse riding, kayaks, scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, canoeing, kite surfing, deep-sea fishing, wind surfing, water skiing, boat trips, mountain biking, massage & beauty treatments, sauna, yoga & basic exercise equipment, cultural visits to Kinondo village, and golf nearby. The beach has a jetty out to sea and a raft moored out beyond the low tide mark where swimmers may get out of the water to relax and sun bathe if they wish.
