Kwessi Dune Lodge

Kwessi Dune Lodge is located deep inside Namibia’s striking NamibRand Nature Reserve, a vast and very beautiful desert wilderness of over 200,000 hectares which is Africa’s first Dark Sky Reserve.

Accommodation & Facilities
Kwessi Dune lodge has 12 air-conditioned chalets with canvas walls and thatched roofs, and en-suite bathrooms with inside and outside showers. Each bedroom has a separate ‘star gazer’ room, completely open to the sky, the perfect spot from which to watch the celestial theatre show above. The lodge has a main dining area and lounge as well as a swimming pool and all enjoy views across the open desert.

Wildlife & Activities
A stay at Kwessi is not so much about wildlife viewing, but rather soaking up the atmosphere of the desert and the beauty of the colourful landscape, admiring the antelope that scatter the sand, and gazing at the stars that light up the night sky. Quad biking, scenic nature drives and walks are all included and hot air ballooning, horse riding and day trips to Sossusvlei Dunes can all be arranged at an extra cost.
