Little Governor's Camp

Little Governor’s Camp is in the north western corner of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. It has an idyllic setting overlooking a small swamp with permanent water and numerous resident animals and birds.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are 17 comfortable and tasteful tents, each with en-suite bathrooms. The tents are spread out around the perimeter of the watering hole, and verandahs overlook this continually changing view. Meals are served either outside, or in the candlelit dining tent. In the evening chilled drinks are enjoyed round the campfire.

Wildlife & Activities
There are very large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and various antelope. In addition hippo, giraffe, elephant, cheetah and leopard are frequently seen. But the Masai Mara is renowned for its magnificent black-maned lions with their large prides who spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of the acacia trees. The Masai Mara normally hosts the wildebeest migration between late June and mid October on their annual trek from the southern plains of the Serengeti.
