Luangwa Safari House

Luangwa Safari House is set on the edge of a lagoon looking towards the Chendeni Hills and has exceptional views of riverine supported woodlands and large plains, all of which play host to huge concentrations of wildlife including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo and over 450 species of birds. Children from seven years are welcome.

Accommodation & Facilities
Luangwa Safari House is an exclusive use safari house that offers the privacy and flexibility to do what you want when you want with a dedicated team looking after you. With your very own chefs, waiters, vehicle and safari guides you can tailor your day to suit which makes it the ideal set up for families.  There are four large en-suite bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs that can accommodate up to eight guests with the option of three additional beds for children. There is a large open-plan dining/sitting area overlooking a plunge pool and private dining terrace. The wooden terrace is suspended between giant ebony trees – beneath which is a seasonal lagoon where elephant families come to bathe.

Eating & Sleeping
A private chef means children can be easily catered for with child friendly meals such as pizza, fish and chips, chicken and pasta dishes at mealtimes to suit. Specific dietary requests can be accommodated with prior notice. A complimentary babysitting service is provided by the house staff.

Wildlife & Activities
Luangwa Safari House is owned by Robin Pope Safaris whose operational base Nkwali camp is nearby so while you have the luxury of splendid isolation, you also benefit from the advantages of a fully-serviced safari lodge 1km away. Game viewing in the area is excellent and, when the water is low enough, there is a fantastic underground hide attached to the deck of the house by the waterhole.

Specifically for children …
A range of hosted activities can be organised for children from the age of seven upwards.
