Magashi Camp

Magashi Camp is in a private concession in Akagera National Park on the eastern edge of Rwanda. This north-eastern corner of the park is amazingly diverse, and the camp has a beautiful position overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga.

Accommodation & Facilities

Magashi Camp has six huge tents with uninterrupted views over Lake Rwanyakazinga. the tents all have en-suite bathrooms, a seating area inside, and a large outside viewing deck. The mess tent has a luxurious lounge, dining room, a bar, a wine cellar and a pool, all located on a big deck with a fire pit. The camp has been designed to make the most of the views across the lake.

Wildlife & Activities

Akagera has some of the most varied landscapes and savannah in East Africa, with open plains, woodlands, lakes, swamp, and mountains. The park has a high number of hippos, some very large crocodiles, the rare sitatunga, the bizarre shoebill, and black rhino. Day and night game drives, boat cruises and fishing are among the activities on offer here.
