Marataba Safari Lodge

Marataba Safari Lodge is located on a 22,000 hectare private concession in the Marakele National Park at the foot of the Waterberg Mountains in South Africa.

Accommodation & Facilities
The 15 suites at Marataba Safari Lodge are an interesting combination of canvas and stone designed to give an elegant and contemporary feel. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, oversized stone bathtubs, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. They have beautiful views over the plains and river to the mountains beyond from the private decks. The lodge has a large lounge with fireplace and comfortable sofas, library, bar, dining room, and swimming pool. Meals are often eaten on the lawn under the camel thorn tree.

Wildlife & Activities
Marakele National Park has excellent wildlife including black and white rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and leopard. Activities include morning and afternoon/evening wildlife drives, walking safaris, and an afternoon boat trip on one of the lakes in the reserve. Spa treatments can also be arranged at an extra cost.
